Bible Projects

FirstBible is currently involved in a number of translation and printing projects. You can be involved in any of these projects through prayer or financial partnership.

If you or your church are interested in having a direct impact on getting the Scriptures to an unreached people group, please prayerfully consider adopting one of these projects and making the financial commitment to fund the remaining balance.

You may be able to complete it with a large one-time gift. You may choose to commit a monthly amount for a certain period of time. Or you may not be able to complete it but simply wish to contribute toward it.

All contributions toward these Scripture printing efforts will help bring about the result of unreached people getting the Word of God.

Details, total cost and the remaining balance needed for the completion of each project are available upon request.

Funding Distribution

Based upon the belief that church planting is the end goal of Bible publishing, we have developed a three-fold financial allocation structure:

1. Bible Publishing

   
   This involves any book expenses incurred from the time the project is agreed upon until the Scripture is delivered. We consider a language to be without Scripture when...
   
   
   • They do not have a translation in their language or dialect.
   • They have a translation that is not being published nor scheduled to be published.
   • The doctrines of Christ are in heresy.
   • They have less than a New Testament.
   
   
   

2. National Training

   
   At FBI, we believe that church planting is the necessary activity in bringing closure to the Great Commission and we believe the trained national with the Word of God in His mother tongue is the two-fold and necessary element in fulfilling our Lord’s command “to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.” That results in indigenous churches that are self-supporting, self-propagating and self-governing. A gift designated toward a language group does not necessarily mean that the National Training portion of the funds will go toward that particular group. It may not be possible until there is a Bible which can be used for Church planting, national training efforts.
   
   
   

3. Development

   
   
   • Involves educating the Christian public on how to identify, locate, and determine the needs of the unreached people group with the goal of instilling a prayer burden and a giving level that involves both finances and personal participation.
   • Involves assisting Bible colleges in developing curriculum for the purpose of training perspective translators.
   • Scholarship programs are organized to assist students with tuition needs and/or those students on summer extension trips to the field.

NOTE: This fund designation is a suggested policy of FirstBible and Franklin Road Baptist Church. The final decision for the distribution of Bible project funds lies with the source of the gift and will be honored if designated differently than the above policy.
